I am fortunate enough to have a mature pear (Pyrus communis) tree in my back garden. One fine summer's day I sat by the tree and asked for its song. It was very simple, but wonderfully soothing and relaxing. It had a really sunny energy. However, it was a little too simple for my friends who listened to a demo version of the CD. So I meditated on the tree and asked for another section. Again, it felt like the right time to ask, and I was right. The second section was a perfect compliment to the first. Although there are many varieties of pear from all over the world, it does not seem to have many myths and legends associated with it. All I can say is, it had a really uplifting effect on me. A real feeling of joy and bliss came from the tree and of the positive, beautiful side of summer. I would imagine it would have a similar effect on anyone else.
